Let’s not underestimate the ocean since the waves come at our feet.

The Ocean is a teaching institution. As benign it might seem, it can get very powerful. It’s a boon to just sit back and enjoy the blue waters, the relaxing sound of the waves that smoothly hit the ocean banks and the calming sound of the moving sand. This sound is used for sleep therapy and ASMR.

The ocean calms the mind. It can make us forget our worldly troubles for a moment and just relax. The big beautiful sky only juxtaposes with the ocean and nobody else! As I admire this scintillating beauty (mostly digitally lately), what do I learn from it? The first thing that struck my mind, was the humbleness.

The ocean is the most humble natural phenomenon. It has a living kingdom within it, it occupies most of our planet, it’s beauty is simply breathtaking; yet the ocean is humble. It’s waves comes running at us, like a Mother trying to hug her children. It hits our feet and humbly retires.

I simply cannot think of any action more humble than this.

I ponder sometimes, if every wave of an ocean were very powerful and high, with huge currents that could sweep a man right from it’s banks, we would simply be so frightened of an Ocean. And fail to comprehend it’s beauty and essence. I can write about Oceans and the sounds simply because I know how it is. Because I have witnessed it.

No matter how humble the Ocean is, can we deny it’s power, it’s majesty?
It is exhibited when it should be. Only when necessary.

It is only humbleness that can make us approachable, make others appreciate our existence. When one is approachable, there are interactions, and these interactions are needed to truly understand somebody. These interactions can calm us. The irony of putting efforts to be humble is that by making ourselves more approachable, we get to have honest conversations with people around us. I reckon it is almost impossible to have an honest conversation without being humble.

Through this humbleness, we can emit great power. The power of listening and having a great conversation. Then we can have the realization of how relaxing speaking to someone can feel.

Lastly I believe,

“Being humble can make the people around us transparent. Wouldn’t life be easy going then?”
