QWERTY’s appeal

There was once a time when I awaited your presence,
Now, those moving disasters fret me, stop, don’t overthink;
I meant your fingers. Oh, only Lord knows where they’ve been!
Why can’t you be assertive and speak your thoughts,
Instead you’ll act all nice and daisy with all around you,
Oh! I forgot; you’ve got me to subjugate.
I’ve gotten all wearied up by the way you punch each key,
You place food on me, use me with filthy hands, even feet sometimes,
Jam me with reckless usage, slam my cousin monitor against me!
I give you backspaces to amend wrong moves,
All sorts of shortcuts that you’re blissfully unaware of,
Keys that control sound, display to suite yourself;
What more do you expect, you ungrateful human!
Doesn’t this exceed what your fellow humans offer you,
Or is this how you treat your peers too?
Have you ever been grateful to those that serve you?
All I ask is to treat me like I matter,
With some care and thought,
I might be too insignificant, but you are the only world I know.
